Dedication of Upgraded Computer Lab at Nashville Community Care & Rehabilitation at Bordeaux

Ten years ago the Bordeaux Advocates provided the funding for the computer lab at Bordeaux. On March 17, 2016, the updated computer lab was officially dedicated with Stephen Francescon from Piedmont Gas Company attending, along with Bordeaux Advocates Board members and employees of Signature present. This project was made possible through the gracious provision of a grant submitted by the Bordeaux Advocates to Piedmont Gas Company. The Advocates are grateful to Piedmont and to Board member, Roger Armes, a long-time employee of Piedmont, who was instrumental in making this grant possible. All the old computers were removed and replaced by new computers, flat screens, and easy-to-read keyboards. Speakers and cameras were added to a few of the computers as well.

The Bordeaux Advocates is an organization that has worked inside Bordeaux for many years. Some of the past accomplishments of the Advocates include building the Pavilion and the gated area outside the secure unit. The Board meets monthly at Bordeaux to plan activities for the residents at Bordeaux and they are currently seeking new Board members. If you have interest in working on projects that improve the lives of the residents at Signature’s Bordeaux facility, please send completed application to Amelia Workman, Bordeaux Advocates (aworkman@wallerlaw.com) or Dana Galuten (actdir.bordeaux@signaturehealthcarellc.com) with Signature for more information.
